Services

Psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, families and groups

I see adolescents and adults in my office in Houston. I don’t typically work with young children. Every service starts with a conversation about what’s going on and whether my approach is a good fit.

What I offer

Ways we can work together

Individual therapy

For adolescents and adults. A place to make sense of relationships, patterns that keep repeating, and feelings that are hard to name, and to try out new ways of handling them.

Family therapy

For parents and teens and for families caught in the same painful loops. We slow those moments down together so that each person’s point of view can be heard and understood, not just argued with.

Group psychotherapy

As a Certified Group Psychotherapist, I believe groups offer something individual therapy can’t: the chance to learn about your own mind in the company of others. Ask me about current groups.

Parent consultation

For parents who want help understanding a child or teenager, whether or not the young person is in therapy themselves.

Assessment & consultation

Thoughtful clinical assessment to clarify what’s happening and what kind of help makes sense, plus consultation for families, schools and other professionals.

For clinicians

Clinical supervision. Board-approved supervision for LMSWs pursuing the LCSW in Texas.

Consultation & training. Case consultation and MBT trainings for clinicians, teams and conferences.

What to expect

  • First contactCall or email, and we’ll set up a brief phone conversation to talk about what’s going on and whether working together makes sense.
  • First sessionsThe first few meetings are a chance to understand the situation more fully, get to know each other, and agree on goals. For teens, I usually meet with parents as well.
  • Ongoing workWe’ll decide together on the format and frequency that fit, and revisit them as things change.

Common questions

  • Do you work with teenagers without their parents?Teens have their own sessions, and I talk with parents and teens up front about how privacy works and when parents will be involved.
  • Is what I share confidential?Yes, with a few legal exceptions, such as concerns about safety. I’ll go over these with you at the start.
  • What if I’m in crisis? Please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. I’m not able to provide emergency services.
